Dear Susan, I knew you would see the beauty in simplicity. I was trying to bring a picture of easy-ness before the rush of life today intervened. Thank you, lovely friend.

I've never dared try "chitlins", but I do love Southern cooking. An excellent entry for the contest, Ann. It should do very well. BOL!

I've never tried them, either, altho corn pones are good. I just wanted this to give the flavor of the old South. I should have used banjos, though. Thanks for your comments, Jim!

My daddy had a cook from the south and it seems like corn pones were a form of cornbread? Or maybe grits... Anyhow, thanks so much, Daniel and for the Mother's Day wish! :)
