Summer Love
Cloudy blue mountains, so fascinating
tender heavenly cool summer refrain
a fun filled time, I'm anticipating
a get away from torrid heat mundane.
Plums, peaches, apples, berries, and cherries
plenty of fresh, healthy fruits to savour
rest in shadows or walk in the valleys
let go of your soul at the windswept moors.
Snow cap peaks glimmer even in summer
cooling body and mind without ado
sun and clouds love to play dumb and dumber
a rejuvenation you will not rue.
Rediscovering my soul, I'm happy
wish summer holidays were not snappy.
