Summer Haiku

across the seascape
visions infuse with sunlight -
footprints wane in tide

summer waves roil sand
eroding lines and dunes –
salt water stings wound

Summer’s orbit ends
fog chills exhaled breath -
a lone ship calls

Lordy me Rhonda...SO glad to see your elegant, irresistible poetry again and you write it with insight, wisdom and CLASS...I am addicted to the ocean and if there is such a thing as reincarnation, I was most certainly a Dolphin or an Octopus (I picked those because they are intelligent) 'Summer's orbit ends'...WOW - Tim
