Summer Fun

A cool summers eve, waiting in the lawn chair,

The neighbors mowing their lawn, the sound of
an airplane,

Children jumping on the trampoline, with
ice tea in my hand,

Laughter from behind the chair, a spray
of water from the water hose,

I arose quickly to my feet! My back chilled,

and a yell coming from within,

That was cold!!!
