Summer Fun

Summer Fun

Summer fun is wrapping up.
So are my last days for being a beach bum,
by hanging out in my flip-flops and string bikini.

Now that the nights are growing longer
and the days are growing shorter.
Time to get serious and
put my life back in order.

But, I'll always remember fondly,
my days this summer of hanging
by the pool and studying for school
while sipping on a gin and tonic.

I'll also miss the lovely summer tunes
that played over the pool's loud speaker
and the smile of our well-toned lifeguard
who always proudly wears
his high-top sneakers.

You paint a lovely picture of a summer day at the pool ~ can I have a ice cold Pina Colada in a coconut shell ~ served by a hunky pool boy as I float in the pool ~ ahh yes summer memories are floating away ~
