Summer Evening

SUMMER EVENING
The summer sun
takes rest behind the hill
after getting tired,
And the boiled ocean
breathes happily
after loosing his weight.

The mad storm
stops blowing & becomes silent
after loosing its temper,
And a company of confused parrots
returns to their nest
accelerating speed with top gear.

An undressed tree
awaiting near the bank of a river
for the returns of his friend
who has gone for fishing,
The soul purifying echos
coming from the nearest hill
ensure his joyous back
with a happy ending.

The naughty tides are enjoying
just by dancing, singing
and playing hide and seek
with the light of moon & force of air,
The sound of sacrosanct evening bell
coming out the nearest temple
convey the message of summer evening
To enjoy a lot with near and dear

Hello Manmath. Marvelous. The theme is tops with me. You grace us with different circumstances within Summer. Nature is amazing and so is a Summer Evening. I loved the thought of the tides with her force and sound. Wonderful imagery. Well done in its entirety.

Thank you for your kind comments about my poem this evening. I see you are very new here. Welcome to you and your good writing. I am so amazed at the people who write such great poetry using a second language. I presume that since you are from India that English is not your native language. Joyce

The imagery in this poem is astonishing. Virtually every line creates a vivid, compelling picture. Add to that the flow and the message, and the result is an exquisite composition. Wonderful work, Manmath.

This poem is so beautiful Manmath but would get more views if it were listed under 'personification' instead of 'rhyme'. I love reading these kind of poems that give personality to nature and the elements. I am going to put this poem into my favorite file here at Poetry Soup. Aloha, Connie It is a definite #7. ; )
