Summer Eternal
A gentle breeze under an oak tree,
trembling lips utter Love`s pure intent;
it was within the whispers of Summer
that my heart found its way home to thee.
Two kindred souls burning, yearning for more;
strewn about in a field of lilies,
the last promises of Love had been spent.
Why then, does the heart linger where it`s been?
Why doth Love remain like an open door?
Perhaps desire stays, strung up like sin,
wanting that which is forbidden.
Craving Love that leaves you feeling so full;
let it be I that succumbs to it then,
Love so deep it makes Summer eternal.
