Summer Cooking In India

As rain starts to drizzle
cooling our sizzled body
aroma travels through the window
making neighbours hysteric;
Onions make sense
With whisper of pumpkin seed
A dash of garlic, grated
Green chillies choke breath.
Lentils, wobbling peanuts
Snow white Basmati
A Kechri.
Fire burns, widows sleep.

Interesting receipt that you have given. I can definitely agree that those hot peppers can take one's breath away. Enjoyed reading your work. Reads like a good contender for the contest. Thanks for the visit to my page. Sara
