Summer Adventure

Summer is vacation time in my country Blissfully welcomed with eagerness-delight… Yet, season of more works* in the ministry To serve the Lord gladly by His sovereign light. Amidst engulfing oppressive summer heat Spiritual retreat burns with revival fire While scorching sun emits afflicting rays’ feat Soul quenched with life’s Water never does retire. Worship-bliss greets radiant firmament Warm air keeps sweet fellowship-embers sparkling Faith upholds mountain-trek prayer engagement God brings me to peace-peak as to Him I cling.
*Proverbs 30:25 The ants are a people not strong, yet they prepare their meat in the summer. May 6, 2019 2nd place, "Summer Quatrain" Poetry Contest Sponsored by Caren Krutsinger; judged on 5/19/2019.
