Suicide Trails
She walks down the trails alone, yet not.
Ghosts surround her
She hides away behind a mask
Pain oozes from behind the mask
Look into her eyes
You will see the trapped, broken girl
Behind the bars of a mask hides a crying broken child
A little girl grew up too slow
A father she didn't live with
A mother who left her for parties and drugs.
She leaves her with endless questions that will remain unanswered.
Her grandparents take her in and raise her.
They expect her to go far.
She will.
In the wrong way.
Walking down the trail she has a noose.
Her grey emotionless eyes scan the forest
'Join us' the spirits whisper in her ears.
She finds a secluded place
She chooses to sever all ties to her family friends and life.
