Suffer the Little Children

Suffer the little children that hide their pain
For these innocent victims, who’s to blame?

Although many a tragedy happen at home
Society, itself, inflicts harsh pains of its own

Danger and violence are a part of everyday
And, the children know it shouldn’t be that way

The remain fearful in living with all they endure
Safety and security, they never know for sure

Clinging to anything showing an open arm
They barely survive using sheer wit and charm

Restitutional change is imperative somehow
Our children need salvation, and they need it now

Accepting responsibility is where all must begin
To partake in the marking of suffering’s end.

Kimberly. You've written this so well. Innocents suffering at the hands of violence and neglect. In turn learning how to be violent themselves.so the chain never breaks. We should cherish them, nurture their minds Are they not "the future of tomorrow"our hope for a better world? Our society is trying here-Eng-various groups set up.But it begins in the home ,the family, the nucleus of society, sadly, breaking down.Thank you for sharing this special poem with me and for reading mine.Love June

very nice, and so true and timely, children are also exposed, and bombarded more than ever before in the history of mankind, and i also believe that love, and descipline also must begin at home. thanks for your comments

Amen to this Kimberly. Our children will reflect the morality of the adults that live now, in their future. We instill in them now what will be their future. God help us, some of the things that are being instill, by the demonic minds of some adult parents, and society itself. Prayer is a necessity, to say the least. Sincerely, Love, Moses
