Suddenly Swans

Suddenly swans flocked in my direction, As I fed them pieces of Wonder bread, A swan with a black mole over its heart caught my idle attention, It swam slowly and was the last one to eat the brown bread. Everyday, I began to feed the swans, And the one with the black mole was always the last one, As if it wanted to linger behind, As if it had a special attraction towards me, All other swans would disappear after eating the pieces of Wonder bread, But not the one with the black mole, She and I would have a conversation, A pleasant one about love and fairytales, We formed a special bond Near that beautiful blue pond. Suddenly swans and I were friends. Contest entered: Suddenly Swans Date judged: 04/26/19 04/12/19 Writing challenge 4, May 2019, No placement poetry contest Sponsor: Dear Heart
