Suddenly Swans

Suddenly Swans

ZITS….that plague
eradicated
soft stubbly itch
faint beard
announcing itself.

They were…..once
my sister’s
pig-tailed, bratty friends
now gliding past
in nuanced elegance
			…..suddenly swans
