Sudden Summer Storm

A sudden downpour, drenching rain Marble-sized hail has covered the ground, Warnings of a tornado in western skies Street flooding in neighborhoods all around, A summer storm with booming thunder Lightning flashing in rhythmic streaks, Water gushing down newly paved streets Turning them into uncharted creeks, Suddenly total darkness has descended Like a pall over nature’s flowered bier, ‘Midst noises akin to banshee shrieks Unexpected expressions of natural fear. As quickly, thunder in lower tone speaks When we learn our plaster ceiling leaks.

Climate change is playing havoc with the world and it is not shy but bold and daring, will God have to reach out to the faithful, to make another Noahs Ark and selectively choose humans, animals birds and more, to start a new planet earth. It happened before, why not again? Hugs and blessings Milton, Jennifer. jENNIFER.

Well, all I can say, Jennifer, is that we'll have to wait and see. Honestly, I do think things will get better. I really do. Think: "Time heals all wounds."

Thanks so much, Connie. I enjoyed this poem myself, and it was written during a terrible thunderstorm.

I read that, Tom. I can't imagine who in the world would do such a thing...and why? Bill is an exceptionally fine fellow, and he would never have written anything like that. But, I'm suspecting it would have to be someone on the site, and that concerns me a great deal! Unless a person was a member, how else could they have access???? I'm not a computer IT, so I don't understand all of the technological ins and outs.

The thunderstorm of your sonnet is very realistic and vivid, Milton. I loved your imagery, such as that of the third stanza. :)
