Such Thoughtful Gifts - For Chris

We met up for a coffee to enjoy a ‘little chat’ and catch up on the gossip I guess most gals do that! Chris gave me a bag of goodies it sure gave my heart a lift A puzzle book to keep me busy was a very thoughtful gift A box of hand made ginger fudge and a bar of Cadbury’s choc I’ll be ripping off their wrappers - good job they don’t have a padlock! The final gift really made me smile a pocket sized pack of little tissues for mopping up tears of laughter and not for hubbies cancer issues! I met up with my wonderful friend Chris a couple of days before we flew off for my hubby to start his cancer treatment, her gifts were absolutely perfect especially the puzzle book as there is a lot of waiting around time and who doesn’t need candy to give them a lift! 5/12/19

I've got quite a few poems written but not for posting on soup, my muse seems to focus on serious poems at the moment I guess spending a week in a cancer hospital is the reason but it makes you appreciate what is really important in life:-( hugs Jan xx

Thanks Ilene he's just completed week one of 6 1/2 weeks going to be tough this week as he is over in the uk and I'm home its major exam time and I need to work but also can't leave mum that long without visiting. He will be fine, being in the cancer hospital is a humbling experience:-( hugs Jan xx

she is that and more Tom. I'd never have to through the toughest period of my life without her support - when hubby was diagnosed with cancer she was there for me when my family weren't and she's continued to be there for me:-) hugs jan xx

aww thanks Mo I feel emotional now! Been tough last week especially with very limited internet as we had no free wifi in the accommodation, I had to give priority to replying to e mails from friends and spent very little time on soup just popping in to post hardly had time to comment or respond, am hoping it will be better this week but I have to work on exams so will hardly be around but at least I'll be busy:-) hugs jan xx

aww Anne-Lise I am tearing up now, we are fine its going to be tough the next 6 weeks as hubby will be in the Uk and I will now be at home - we sailed through the first week of treatment and he will be home most weekends:-) I am hoping to be able to spend a little more time on soup - last week was difficult as I had very limited internet access and my muse wasn't playing anyway lol:-) hugs jan xx
