Such Love, I Drink From Your Cup
My yearning heart rises
to your welcome voice
and leaps at the whisper
of your name,
Lord.
The evening ascends in
on a great doves wing.
I am calmed by your word
that I carry
into the twilight of moonbeams
and hold next to my mind.
I am filled with hope
that you may dry my tears
of compassion and anticipation.
As my hand falls from my prayer,
it reminds me of your promise.
In the hushed evening,
I listen for the last cries
of the spring.
My heated anticipation
leaps to my attention.
I wait in the crystal moonlight
for your secret Heaven
so that we may meld as one,
arousal to arousal,
in search of the glorious rainbow
and spiritual ark of love.
