Subsumed

You enter my starry expanse—
every thought I try to hush brightens.
I tame my pulsations with restraint,
afraid my asterisms
will say too much.

You shift along
til you entrain my world—
subsumed
but never near.

Enter my starry expanse is such a great opening line. Enjoyed reading, nicely done!

The more we resist a need, the more we become the need...swallowing heartbeats until they bloom into opened eyes, allowing us to see the body of our blessing. I like very much the voice of your pretty resistence Laura...J.A.B.
