Subjected

You give me love without commitment
Relationship without marriage
Power without authority
Recognition without any credentials
All the while I thought....
These things meant something
But you have only made them a formidable
Means to pacify me
Only for your self benefits
So I am subjected.... to a life
Of incomplete promises
Illusions of false love
And neglected agendas
All the while this was your angle
To keep me entangled
To your own selfish desires
Yet I am consistently dying
An unheard voice crying into the echoes of quietude
Of the pain I’ve endured
Now trapped in a liability
I’m subjected to prevail
