Subdued, In Writing

Enveloped in waves of
overflowing thought
to drown within its current
light goes dim, cannot see
what is in front
what is behind I?
For in a trap,
cannot focus
cannot breath.
Gasping crying to
what cannot hear.
It has ensnared, in its icy
teeth.
Thought oppressed
ink splattered statements along
piles of morose.
Cold
as he froze
the final essence of me.

Your writing is beautiful Sydney, and don't let anyone tell you differently. I have written a few poems on Child bullying, perhaps you would like to read them when you get a chance....Starry Starry Night and Hallelujah. Welcome to Poetry Soup....Maria

Hi Sydney I think many can relate to your lines and poets notes. In the past I've been bullied, criticised and put down over my poetry style but I won't let these people let me down and I definitely wont give up having such fun writing:-) I see you are new on the site and extend a warm welcome to soup :-) hugs Jan xx
