Stubborn Waves

The noontime waves creep and crawl, threateningly roar and roll upon the shore. They rush to gather speed, force and all, trying to besiege and topple the stone seawall. They smash hard against its mossy base, trying to shake and crack its rocky core only to explode as shattered, salty spray that briefly splash in the wind before they fall. But they keep coming back, rushing in, ebbing out, for that's what waves are after all!
