Struggle

My struggling mouth
Cannot find the utterances
Between grace and mercy
The stone shadows
Life-like in the predawn
At sunrise they shed their hopes
Of ever changing expressions
Forever cut in sandy glass
Day and night, the frozen
Emotions will never change
Trapped without movement
Only glimpses of dead dreams
The stone angel, I saw her weep
That lonely cloudy night
Red blood for moon
A sight only meant for me
None other will ever see
Things only present for me
