Struggle

I'm sick of saying every day it is struggle struggle struggle trying to live up to expectations of other people try and keep trying to get my hustle on and I'm still not meeting the little things like stability it's like I'm always meant to live with poverty striding through a mist of fog like I can see my path clearly hovering over a pond of ideas hoping to get a permanent catch so I do have to backtrack over my rocky past look back and emphasize what I should have had and I've got to be driven for tomorrow because the future is catching up fast 39 now the big 40 next.......

I welcome you with the love of the Lord, expressed by John 3:16 of the Bible, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." Jermaine, your poem well describes the struggle many are undergoing. You acknowledge the struggle yet support a hopeful view of the future with your positive line, “… I can see my path clearly hovering over a pond of ideas hoping to get a permanent catch… and I've got to be driven for tomorrow because the future is catching up fast..,” welcome to PoetrySoup!
