Striving Toward Distinction

Stopped an angel on the hill
a wildflower growing amid impossible
through cracks in the palm
reflecting some deep feelings
motivating you to follow
across the water, driven by tides
she is in the crescent phase
In a nutshell, the essence
similar to a shy, secretive fan.

Optimism is stronger than evidence
creativity is stronger than erudition
fiction is more common than truth
the power of fantasy trumps realism
only laughter can heal sorrow
and love conquers death.
