Strikingly Different

Tying rainbows in her cascading hair
Like the promise to always be there
A burning heart fanning the flames
A knotted mind knows no shame
Untying rainbows from her cascading hair
The weight of mind I could not bear
through the showering tears we came
A burning heart fanning the flame
Untying knots within a mind
A bow unlike any of its kind
Tying rainbows in her cascading hair
Like the promise to always be there
A gracious brush swept it all away
A mind without contrast shines today
Inspired by FJ Thomas’s Ribbons and Bows Tied to the Flames - the conflict between heart and mind
