Strength to Bounce Back Battered by the blast of a cruel storm Incited by wild woeful wobbling winds, My heart, broken to pieces, was transformed To a slice of flesh, pricked by an arrow, Sealing a scary scar, deep and profound, That in stillness of the night did resound. Blown by the blast, the germ of love was lost In the air, with pearly drops not dripping, But hanging on edge of my eyes like frost, My breast flared up with flashes of lightning On reminiscence of the dismal plight To which fate had hurled me one gloomy night. My mind veiled with a cloud of deep darkness, All along my path, dark shades did collide With thoughts dulled by large strata of bleakness And my shattered spirit on the downside With life seeming shrouded in a white mist, A drama of suffering with a twist. Though hot tears may hide on edge of the eyes With every downturn resides an upturn: If the inner strength, we seek to apply If the lessons of life, we wish to learn From ashes, every broken soul can rise And greet dawn of a new day with surprise. Soon deep from the depth of my inner self The glow of a shining light did ignite, Beckoning me to pluck strength from myself Pursue the rightful path leading to light Pull up muscle from every breath I heave And in my inner assets to believe. In due course I learnt my strength to muster, Grasp the lessons to bounce back on my own, Be bold and brave to bear roars of thunders, Shines of my inner self not to disown As no wounds can`t be healed if we do try, And inner strength can lift us to the sky.
