Love came down, without a sound, assuring us of the presence, the grace, the peace that comes to those who simply believe God is always near and wherever we are, we have love so sincere – by poet
In the quiet moments, undisturbed
By the dancing leaves,
Breath of wind’s teeth, light
In shades of grace, or grief
Silence wonders where the night has been
Stardust motions to the song,
Trembling in the gentlest rhythms
Warm as laughter, glowing
Comparing the lonely to the alone,
The melody to the poem wrote by the soul
Who sings in glimpses of tenderness
Instinctive tones of generosity, rising up
From the earth’s wholesome soils…
Roses, sustained by the summer’s joy
Baby’s breath and colors of gold, softly spoken
By hearts who know what it means to regret,
Roses, sprinkled with thorns who voice
Their warning, their dark dramas,
Beneath the weeds, fallen seeds, abundant
As the prayers I’ve prayed for the heart
Who cannot see past the lonesome,
To the blessing that survives in the timeless
Acts of an age when God gave
Solitude a name – was it really the stillness
The old ways, beneath shadows of twilight,
Singing to the bonfires who were built
By lonely hopes and broken hearts,
Isolated from the blame, the shame, amazed
By the wonderful who gives hope a name,
Who gives God the praise…
Secluded from the doubts who won’t fade,
Melancholic and afraid of the past,
Where there is silence that will ever last
Abiding inside the soul who can’t see
The forest for the trees,
The makings of a light despite the grief
The whisper of beauty in every seed…
And a rose, petals floating beyond the gusts,
Twisting, the ache of solitary buds
Erased from the memory, a fleeting despair
Who was once so near, so close to the heart
Feeling like leftover resilience
Forlorn but not so broken they can’t hear
The voice of light, abiding in the night
Capturing the heart who just believes
All is right, despite the streets of solitude,
Where dark fights light,
Where hope fights doubt,
Where love is more amazing…
Because beneath the love,
She’s praising, always praising
Alone is never alone – not really
His love is everlasting and always with me
Forever restores the moon to its glory
Eternity remembers it is love that keeps going
It is love from God above that silences the lost,
So, despite the cost, there is love that will forever last,
There is love that God sent to remind us
We’re never alone, wherever we go He will find us
Wherever we are, He will abide with us!
