Street Walking Killer Part 3
With a spot now to visit
The detective then knew
He’d watch the street corner
But stay out of view
Many had walked
This street in the night
So he had to be certain
And do this just right
He brought in plain clothed
To go undercover
They’d seek out the business
Of street walking lovers
Back to the rooms
All seedy and dark
The men entered in
Seeking their mark
When, one night a break
Had happened their way
One a regular John
Had a higher price paid
But in the same place
As the cops undercover
So they hoped for a jump
On this street walking lover
They discovered the room
With warmth on the sheets
A body to the side
Yet dead, not complete
It spoke just one word
Before it proved dead
The word he had said
Had sounded like “red”
