Street Walking Killer Part 2
The detective was outraged
Upon reading the news
They made her a hero
The police were abused
He knew he would get her
He’d find her, he swore
He would stake his career
On finding this whore
She may have been cunning
But wasn’t that smart
So he knew he’d arrest her
And take down the tart
Though months had gone on
With nary a clue
Time was approaching
He would give her, what’s due
With one piece of evidence
A charm from a chain
He hoped he would find
The owner, a name
He pounded the pavement
For his daily quest
Was to question young women
Those scantily dressed
For he knew she was one
Of the many who sold
Their bodies for trinkets
A lifetime for gold
When about to give up
One day, toward the night
One questioned young girl
Had shed some new light
She thought that she’d seen
This charm once before
On a girl on the corner
Of Beacon and Fourth
