Antlers as walking trees Grass as stabbing knives Hands as waving chestnut leaves Books as building blocks Thoughts as ideas in the wind Words as cutting pain Letters as dust whirling in the sun Twigs as skinny limbs Wheels as softly spoken o's Teeth as stabbing swords Tongue as venomous snake Eyes as crazy marbles Nothing, nothing is what it seems In my feverish mind *** September 27, 2017 Copyright © Darren White

Wow, Darren! I think I've seen these images before. I could hear the creaking of your wheelchair wheels in softly spoken o's. You grip us with each image. I pray a soft cloth upon your head to soothe the beasts of your mind. <3 Kim

These images are not THAT crazy :) I enjoy your way of seeing, Darren. Waving chestnut leaves do resemble hands - it looks like you're just turning some images upside down.

The mind is a wonderous thing and visions have been a part of it as long as we know. how we interpret those visions is what we have to figure out. Great poem
