Straight Roads

I am touched by the hands of time;
the old ones which came before me straightened my path.
I am touched by the hands of time;
I walk the path, plowed for me, straight roads only moving forward.
I am touched by the hands of time;
I stand tall, never weak, holding steadfast.
I am touched by the hands of time;
they call upon me; I follow their voice;
carry on, carry om they say.
I walk the path, plowed for me, straight roads only moving forward;
never looking back, only remembering.

The form lends itself well to "Call and Response" ~ an aura of "Community" ~ not easily discounted.
