Straight Into the Sea

Where do we stand under this cold black sky What message for our hearts does come from this breaking English tide The grains of sand we could call our own We would defend this land from any foe Our minds command our hearts to stand for the defence of all we know Our history of sacrifice given through fighting in fields on seas, on deserts in skies defending all we know and love from tyranny. This legacy of fighting for freedom, for liberty, for democracy. So now commander where do we stand on this English beach. Do we turn away from freedom, from democracy Do we prepare to stand and defend our government and its lies that sold out democracy Do we prepare to treat all we know and love as our enemy. If so commander I’ll just turn and walk straight into this English sea.
