Storms In Her Eyes

A storm is raging in her heart
One that is long over due
Let the rains of Heaven fall down
As teardrops from her eyes so sad

The roll of thunder in her heart
Plays a sad somber beat
Barely able to hear the sound
For it has pulled back in retreat

The lightning you see in her eyes
Is caused by so much damage
For love struck her heart and soul
Turned her insides to burnt ashes

The words that spill from her mouth
Like an erupting volcano
They sit and simmer awhile
Waiting for a time most opportunistic

But like mother earth she is
She comes and goes like the seasons
Bringing both chaos and peace
Never needing a simple reason

In due time the storm will pass
The skies will turn to blue
And soon the sun it will shine
She will be free to love again
