Storms

And now the season has begun the darkened skies have covered the sun the sound of thunder is interspersed by lightning striking on the earth the winds increase in motion swift they sway and bend the limbs of trees and then there is a gentle breeze a torrent of rain cascades on mountain crests then rests into a shallow ford a chord of music of wind and rain mingling into a Wagnerian fugue the rain subsides into lakes and ravines the sun reappears to a vivid scene Nature’s fascination has taken form All is well with God after the storm June 28, 2014

This is a great poem, Ralph. It is a wonderful picture of human life. The storm, tossed about with strong winds and sometimes gentleness and finally all is well with God. The meter and rhymes are very well done and I enjoyed this one, my friend.... Robert.

Hi Andrea: Thank you for the comment. As a child, I can remenber having nothing bur cats in my house. Years later my daughter bought a cat (MAXIE)and we had him for 10 years. I'm pretty tough but it was sad seeing him put down. Since then I don't want to re live that experience.

Great wording of the events of a storm. Awesome ending, all is well in the end. About cats, how many have you had? I've had many through my life. Half were aloof and half were quite nice. I had a few that loved sitting in my lap and purring. The one i have now does it quite a bit. I just love my Razzmatazz. Did you hear the latest? People who prefer cats are smarter than dog lovers. You did not need me to tell YOU that though.
