Storm

Storm In New York City The Silver Star Derails At the height of the storm Winds strike Snow flakes coat the tracks Stick and crystallize Sparks ignite Down trees Hover over power lines Thick, gray, foggy smoke Atop a ball of flames The sky—masked Windows nearly burst and collapse Train off the tracks Hope fails Passengers weep and their hearts beat speedily Shook by numerous injuries At once the train stops Hours past Trains dispatched Rushed to emergency rooms Miami trip delayed Warm sand Beach umbrellas And palm tress Await Marckincia Jean Narrative 09/01/19
