Stop My Heart On Valentine's
Stop my heart on Valentine's
I won't go for the ride.
Tell me what to dream of.
I'm dateless without pride.
The stores are all commercial.
The candies sugar dyes.
They'll only rot your teeth
when they promise you a prize.
I'll find a love without them.
I'll search the world whole.
I'll even go without one
if they're not for my soul.
I'll try my luck with others
by dating wrong or right.
It's only my experience
that helps me in my plight.
When love has finely found me
and life is more complete,
I'll surely tell the world
and that would be my treat.
