Hey Brian: I liked the way you formatted this like a staircase. It seemed to compliment the idea of things going "down hill", and it's a cool visual aesthetic. Your last four lines were my favorite where you expose the pickle most of us find ourselves in ... living fast to die slow, living selfishly in a country based on democracy ... hard-hitting words.

Thank you I thought the staircase going down affect was a fitting arrangement, wasn't sure if too many people would catch that it actually has to do with the events of the poem but here you are to rebuild my confidence in our intellect as human beings!! lol Seriously though very cool that you recognized the significance of it!
