Stone's Throw

darting movement in green clear waters
circling whispers run quickly
spreading news without words
stories, silent and looming,
old and young reach the small
stones on the pathway flirting
with leaves....a brethren has reached
the waters and is rolling gently into the sea.

Life's journey is only a stone's throw: sending out ripples in the beginning and, finally, slipping silently into the sea.
