Stollen (Pleiades)

So, the story goes, this
Saxony dried fruit bread
specially buttered, spiced, 
secured the pope’s blessing,
soon became famous, with
sales booming at Christmas.
Served, sugar sprinkled, sliced.

Hi Nette:) The best Stollen comes from Germany, although other countries do try to imitate it. Once, my cousin obtained a recipe and tried it with satisfactory results, but no comparison with Dresden Stollen! ~ Hugs // paul
