Stolen Kisses

Public places
Eye contact
Very few words
Plenty of tact
‘Nodding acquaintances,
No more’
Nothing revealed
Nothing to pour
Expressions blank
Heart full of emotions
Taking refuge
‘Where’?
In pretensions
Lots of
Meaningless joviality
Easy atmosphere
‘Ill at ease’ inside
Apparent formalities
‘Thank yous’ and ‘Please’
And then.....
By chance
Those hurried moments
Chance to make amends
Away from the crowd
Silence loud
Grabs her face
Lips locked
Passions surge
That intense feeling
‘Merge!’
Both manage
Another one
The 49th kiss
Finally stolen
