Stolen Innocence
A cry pierces the darkness
A soul, wounded with shame
Another stolen innocence
Devoured, by guilt ridden blame
She sits and draws her pictures
Of the evil that haunts her dreams
A secret, wrapped in silence
With no one, to hear her screams
A child, with no protector
She's only eight years old
Forced to the live her nightmares
In this darkness, yet untold
A princess without a hero
To save her from her fears
Her only friend, her pillow
That muffle her silent tears
A future without an ending
She's learned to hate the night
An ending without a future
She's lost the will to fight
Scarred, without emotion
She no longer wants to survive
She cries herself to sleep each night
And prays for death to arrive
