Stirring
Take in the air I breathe
and paint it all over the street
Breathe the air that I breathe
And leave the substance running in the street
Lift your courage above the sky
And walk with me before you say the final goodbye
The journey is long, but the path is clear
I will hold your hands
and reminiscence with you when I get there
The jubilant crowd is waiting for you
And I only have one pair of shoes
But I will be there to see you through
I stood in the middle of the street
To fill my lungs with fresh air
But I heard heavy footsteps
walking behind me and my heart began to fear
And before I knew what was going on
The multitude was walking beside me
They spread out on either side of the street
singing a rhythmical song
one group on the left and another on my right
They held my right hand and left hand tight
As I progress towards the middle of the sky
We sang until we got to the square
And the crowd had doubled when we got there
But the fox was waiting underneath the tree
To pronounce the final decree
But I continue to wave my hand in the sky
and held my hopes way up high
I can still feel the stirring in my feet
As I watched the substance running in the street.
