Stillness of Reflections
The first I saw my reflection,
I gasped to know it was me....
As this would one day lead to introspection,
With each moment reviewed gingerly.
Images in ponds and reflective glass...
My life has been all about mirrors;
From the first one to the last,
Each vision and remembrance becoming clearer.
With each day I looked at you, yes me,
It was a stage of lifeful stillness that I did see.
And I collected these mirrors and memories,
Of which only I could decipher and believe.
And now my reflections have grown and gone beyond,
That small child gazing into the knowledge pond.
