Still pure and true, forever

He says, "I forgive you"
To the sleeping girl
The one who hurt him
The one who broke his heart
They had a pure love
A true love -
A love that inspires
Great love stories
Over and over again
And this love continues on
Unabated and unadorned
Still pure and true, forever
And he will always forgive her
And he will always love her
Even if she can't love him back
The same way
He says, "I forgive you"
To the sleeping girl
The one who hurt him
The one who broke his heart
They still have love
They still have friendship
Because the best loves
Exist outside of space and time
For love is eternal and special
It is powerful and mighty
It is gentle and compassionate
It is kind and delightful
Over and over again
This love continues on
Unabated and unadorned
Still pure and true, forever
