Still Makes Me Want To Try

For Lovers...


For what’s been said by songs of love
                                 more beautifully than I
could ever put down into words
                            still makes me want to try

For words as soft as summer’s kiss
                              on dewey morning green
I struggle to engage my pen
                                my feelings unforeseen  

As how could I, though from the heart
                                  begin to touch the sky
Yet you, my love, my wondrous one
                              still make me want to try
