Notes About The Poem

(Entry for the Still Holding My Own Poetry Contest, sponsored by Margarita Lillico, submitted November 1, 2024 - First Place)

and I've clearly taken a lot of hits.
I'm still holding my own;
I won't fuss, I won't moan
but I am not an appliance that quits!
