Steps Against Stops

Steps
shaking
stand surely
striving to stride
steadfastly sober
stretching skills, not sudden  
shaped along serene success* 
supplicating, shining--- soaring
smiting slothfulness and selfishness…
sharing blessings from God’s supply store
secured through faith of stewardship
settled against dearth sorrows
suffice, conquering stress
sustained for showing
s a t i s f i e d  s o u l 
serves well sans 
steadfast  
stops.

*Joshua 1:8-9 This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success. Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the Lord thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest.

You did a nice job with this one. I like the scripture chosen because those of us who have chosen to admit our sins and our sinful nature, have asked for forgiveness, still can grab hold of these promises made to Israel because we have been grafted into the vine and Jesus is the vine and God the husbandry. Way to go. Sara K
