I don't want you to be my stepping stone or to carry me I want you to be the one to love me when I'm barely me Even though now isn't the right time I hope one day you'll be the girl to marry me I just need you to love me, I don't need you to be my stepping stone or to carry me I've never been the best with emotions and love, but for you I want to try We've both got a broken wing each , but if we attach our two good wings we can fly Support each other and hold each other up Make you so happy that I'll make you forget you ever had another love I'm a grown man I don't need to be nurtured But we need to be honest with each other to take it further So tell me your thoughts because your own mind can be the scariest place Give me your support when I need it, but I'll always carry my weight I'm far from perfect but my heart's in the right place When I can't express how I feel I'll go to my writing place I won't hide my feelings, be real with me and I'll always express to you The only way for it to be good to us is if I give my best to you We're in this together so neither of us should feel alone If you ever have something to say then please let it be known This feels right so I want everything to go right with us I want you to be my happy ending and much more than a lesson or stepping stone
