“Lord, when trouble surrounds me, please help me to remember others and their intentions in my prayer”

When trouble looms
We often turn inward
We’re grateful when others take us to medical appointments
Bring casseroles

Provide job leads
Our prayers may focus on asking for faith
And Strength for ourselves

Yet when Jesus knew His time had come
He prayed not only for Himself
But for all of us
That Eternal God would continue to hold on us tight
We would continue to embrace Him

It is a stunning act of faith
Considering how a change in our lives
May affect those we love
To remember to pray for them as well

Stepping outside ourselves
In time of Personal crisis
May be our ultimate sacrifice
