Stephen Hawking

25th on “100 Greatest Britons,” Stephen Hawking
used ground-breaking "text-to-speech” talking.
Given few years to live with Lou Gherigs’ Disease,
he surpassed expectations when life he did seize!

It was amazing at his length of life with the illness he had. I think that the care and love that he got from his wife and family made the difference to a certain extend. My mother's sister had rheumatoid arthritis as did her daughter then the grandson had Lou Gherigs' Disease. My mother's sister lived to be 98 plus 3 months old, but her grandson died shortly after he found out about his illness then the daughter died shortly after her son. Thank you for sharing this one with us. I enjoyed reading it. Sara K

Great poem on a great character. I read a few of his books and saw The Theory of Everything. It's a good thing for Stephen and the world, that they invention that text-to-speech technology just in time!
