Beyond the glass To the silvery foil— All is not given back In the way of light— The mirror Somewhat of a thief, Coveting a bit of warmth For itself-- The secret flaw In reflected image… I feel for focus, Refracted to a searing point— Not of vulcanized sand But will, Determined to cut into And draw blood From the often Steel heart of time…
